Prahlāda Instructs the Sons of Demons: Begin Bhakti from Childhood; Household Attachment as Bondage; Nārāyaṇa as the All-Pervading Supersoul
śrutam etan mayā pūrvaṁ jñānaṁ vijñāna-saṁyutam dharmaṁ bhāgavataṁ śuddhaṁ nāradād deva-darśanāt
This verse calls bhāgavata-dharma “pure” and presents it as knowledge joined with realization (jñāna with vijñāna), received through authentic hearing from a realized devotee like Nārada.
Prahlāda establishes the authority of his teachings: he heard them earlier from Nārada, a great sage who has direct vision of the Lord, so the instruction is not speculation but realized tradition.
Seek spiritual knowledge from genuine devotees and apply it through daily practice—hearing, chanting, and living the teachings—so understanding becomes realized and transformative, not merely theoretical.
