لقد قُطِعت كل شكوكِي، وصار ذهني صافياً بلا دنس. وبفضلك عرفتُ أصول النشأة والبقاء والضبط—أي الخلق والدوام والانحلال في نظام الكون.
Maitreya (addressing Sage Parāśara)
Speaker: Maitreya
Topic: Fruit of instruction: doubts removed, mind purified; understanding of origination, preservation, and restraint (creation, maintenance, dissolution) gained by the teacher’s grace.
Teaching: Philosophical
Quality: revealing
Concept: By the guru’s grace, one comprehends the triad of cosmic functions—utpatti, sthiti, saṃyama—revealing an ordered sovereignty behind creation, continuance, and dissolution.
Vedantic Theme: Dharma
Application: Seek clarity through sustained study and practice under guidance; translate cosmic insight into personal discipline—begin well, sustain well, and know when to let go.
Vishishtadvaita: The cosmos is a real, orderly process grounded in the Lord as jagat-kāraṇa (material and efficient cause) and regulator; knowledge is grace-enabled and culminates in purified consciousness rather than negation of the world.
Vishnu Form: Para-Brahman (philosophical)
Bhakti Type: Shanta (peaceful)
Jagat Karana: Yes
They summarize the cosmic cycle—creation, maintenance, and withdrawal/dissolution—showing that the universe operates under an intelligible, governed order rather than randomness.
The verse frames understanding as the fruit of guru-upadeśa: Maitreya’s clarity arises through Parāśara’s instruction and grace, which “cuts” uncertainty and stabilizes insight into cosmic principles.
Even when not named in the verse, the teaching belongs to a Vishnu-centered cosmology where the supreme governance behind creation, preservation, and dissolution is ultimately grounded in Vishnu as the highest reality.
