It teaches that true Shiva-worship is complete when it includes both inner devotion and outer expressions—dāna (charity), sevā (humble service), and upacāras like snāna/abhisheka and naivedya—purifying the soul (paśu) and drawing it toward the Lord (Pati).
These are standard upacāras offered to Saguna Shiva, commonly centered on the Shiva-Linga—especially abhiṣeka and naivedya—where tangible offerings and reverent service become vehicles for focused bhakti and remembrance of Shiva’s presence.
Perform Shiva-pūjā with abhiṣeka (ritual bathing), offer naivedya, and complement it with sevā and dāna—such as feeding devotees/guests—while maintaining devotional concentration on Shiva (often supported by japa of the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
