Bondage and Liberation: The Prakṛti–Karma Wheel and Śiva as the Transcendent Cause
सुवर्णप्रतिमां विष्णोरिंद्रा दीनां च निक्षिपेत् । सशिरस्के मध्यकुंभे विष्णुमाबाह्य पूजयेत्
suvarṇapratimāṃ viṣṇoriṃdrā dīnāṃ ca nikṣipet | saśiraske madhyakuṃbhe viṣṇumābāhya pūjayet
ينبغي أن تُوضَع صورةٌ ذهبية لفيشنو، وكذلك صورةٌ لإندرا وصورةٌ للمتضرّع المتواضع. وفي الكُمْبَة الوسطى ذات الغطاء، يُستدعى فيشنو ليحلّ فيها ثم يُعبَد ويُكرَّم.

It indicates kalasha worship (madhya-kumbha), with āvāhana (invocation/installation) and pūjā of the invoked deity; as a takeaway, perform focused invocation, offer respectful worship, and keep the mind steady in mantra-bhāva during the rite.
