Suta Goswami (narrating the Shiva Purana teachings to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Īśāna
It teaches that material support should be gathered through śuddha (pure, dharmic) means, so the seeker’s worship and inner discipline remain untainted; purity of livelihood supports purity of mind, which ripens devotion toward Shiva (Pati).
Linga-worship emphasizes śauca (purity) and sincerity; earning without servility or corrupt means preserves sattva and makes offerings, japa, and daily Shiva-puja spiritually effective rather than merely external.
Adopt a disciplined, pure routine: perform Shiva-puja with clean conduct, give and receive only dharmic charity, and support daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a livelihood free from deceit and undue hardship.
