Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
Offering: dipa
It praises Shiva as both the source of right practice (prayoga) and right knowledge (vijñāna) of the pañcārthas—teaching that liberation arises through disciplined worship and clear insight, ripening by Shiva’s grace.
By calling Shiva the ‘nectar’ of practice and the very ‘form’ of the hymn, it supports Saguna worship—stotra, dhyāna, and Linga-upāsanā—as practical means that mature into pañcārtha-vijñāna and culminate in realizing Shiva as Pati.
Regular stotra-recitation and mantra-japa (especially Panchakshara), combined with contemplative reflection on Pati–Paśu–Pāśa and inner purification (mala-kṣaya), aligning practice with knowledge for Shiva’s anugraha.
