It praises the Divine Mother as the Shakti through whom the triadic cosmic functions—manifestation, preservation, and withdrawal—operate, pointing the devotee toward surrender to Shiva-Shakti as the means to liberation.
In Shiva Purana devotion, the Linga signifies Shiva as Pati, while this verse highlights Shakti as His inseparable power; worship becomes complete when the devotee honors the Saguna form of Shiva together with the Mother who enables all cosmic activity.
Use it as a stotra during japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), mentally contemplating the three functions—creation, sustenance, dissolution—while offering bilva leaves or applying Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as an act of Shaiva surrender.
