The verse is a Devi-stuti that honors Umā/Parvatī through specific epithets—Tripurasundarī, Mātaṅgī, Ajitā, and Vijayā—affirming that divine grace is both beautiful and victorious, and that the Goddess is ultimately unconquerable.
In Shaiva Siddhanta-oriented devotion, Saguna Shiva is worshiped together with His Shakti; praising the Goddess by her names supports Linga-worship by invoking the inseparable power (Śakti) through which Shiva grants protection, purification, and liberation.
Japa of these divine names as a stotra—repeating “namo namaḥ” with steady attention—can be done before or alongside Shiva-puja (with vibhuti/Tripuṇḍra and Rudrāksha if one follows those observances), cultivating bhakti and inner steadiness.
