Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It portrays Shiva’s sovereign power to manifest limitless plenitude, teaching that all enjoyments and resources arise by the Lord’s grace; for the devotee, such visions point beyond sense-pleasure toward recognition of Pati (Shiva) as the ultimate source.
As Saguna Shiva, the compassionate Lord reveals tangible, perceivable forms of abundance; similarly, in Linga-worship the devotee approaches the formless Supreme through a sacred, accessible symbol and receives grace in a form suited to devotion.
The verse supports the practice of naivedya (food offering) to Shiva with the attitude that all nourishment belongs to Him; it can be paired with japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while offering and mentally surrendering enjoyment to the Lord.
