Sati (addressing the Adya Shakti/Parvati as Jagadamba, in a prayerful invocation within the Sati Khanda narrative)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Ardhanārīśvara
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It is a direct bhakti-prayer for anugraha (divine grace), praising the Goddess as the primordial Power inseparable from Śiva, who both veils the world as Māyā and blesses devotees with liberation-oriented boons.
By calling the Goddess “Śivarūpiṇī,” the verse affirms Shiva–Shakti non-separation in saguna worship: devotion offered to Śiva (including in Liṅga worship) is fulfilled through His Śakti, who grants results and steadies the devotee’s path.
A simple upāsanā is repeated japa of a grace-invoking prayer alongside Panchākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), mentally contemplating Shiva as Pati and the Goddess as His Śakti (Jaganmāyā) who bestows protection and boons.
