(Nyāsa-varṇanam) — Description of Nyāsa in the Saṃnyāsa Procedure
evamuktvā munirmaṃtrī kavacaṃ netramastake | vinyaseddevadeveśi sāvadhānena cetasā
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: kavaca
It teaches that mantra-practice must be joined with attentive consciousness (sāvadhāna-cetas), because protection and inner purification arise when the mind is steady and aligned to Pati—Lord Shiva.
Nyāsa of kavaca and netra is a preparatory rite for Saguna Shiva worship—centering the body-mind as a sanctified seat before approaching the Linga with mantra, devotion, and ritual order.
It indicates nyāsa: placing the kavaca (protective mantras) and netra (protective ‘eye’ mantra) on the head, performed carefully with focused mind as part of Shiva-upāsanā.
