The Determination of Śiva as the Meaning of Praṇava
prasādanīya ityantaṃ sarvva traivaṃ vidhikramaḥ | evaṃ samāpya varaṇaṃ maṇḍalāni prakalpayet

It emphasizes that Shiva worship is not random: grace (prasāda) is invoked through a disciplined, ordered ritual sequence, after which the sacred space is properly established for communion with Pati (Shiva).
By completing the protective enclosure (varaṇa) and then preparing maṇḍalas, the devotee sanctifies the field of worship where Saguna Shiva—especially in Linga form—may be approached with purity, order, and receptivity to grace.
Perform the prescribed concluding ‘prasādanīya’ act to settle divine grace, complete the protective boundary rite (varaṇa), and then construct maṇḍalas—supporting focused japa and pūjā within a consecrated space.
