उपदेशः / Sampati Instructed and the Search Mission Foretold
इच्छाम्यहमपिद्रष्टुं भ्रातरौ रामलक्ष्मणौ।नेच्छेचिरं धारयुतुं प्राणां स्त्यक्ष्ये कलेबरं।महर्षि स्त्वब्रवीदेवं दृष्टतत्वार्थदर्शनः।।4.62.15।।
icchāmy aham api draṣṭuṃ bhrātarau rāma-lakṣmaṇau | necche ciraṃ dhārayituṃ prāṇān tyakṣye kalevaram | maharṣis tv abravīd evaṃ dṛṣṭa-tattvārtha-darśanaḥ ||
وأنا أيضًا أرغب أن أرى الأخوين راما ولكشمانا. غير أنّي لا أريد أن أُبقي الحياة طويلًا؛ سأترك هذا الجسد.” هكذا تكلّم المهرشي العظيم، الرائي الذي أدرك حقيقة الواقع.
'Knowing that Vaidehi is not eating food(given by Ravana) Indra,the ruler of gods, will offer nectar-like food rare even for gods.
Dharma is truthful clarity about life’s impermanence: the sage aligns speech and action with satya, choosing timely renunciation rather than attachment.
After outlining the larger mission, the sage expresses a final wish to see Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa but declares he will not prolong life and will soon abandon the body.
Vairāgya (detachment) grounded in wisdom: a realized seer meets death without fear, holding to truth.
