Instructions for the Western Search Party
तानि नीडानि सिंहानां गिरिशृङ्गगताश्च ये।दृप्तास्तृप्ताश्च मातङ्गास्तोयदस्वननिस्वनाः।।4.42.17।।विचरन्ति विशालेऽस्मिंस्तोयपूर्णे समन्ततः।
tāni nīḍāni siṃhānāṃ giriśṛṅgagatāś ca ye |
dṛptās tṛptāś ca mātaṅgās toyadasvananisvanāḥ ||4.42.17||
vicaranti viśāle 'smiṃs toyapūrṇe samantataḥ |
وفي تلك الأوكار، أوكارِ الأسود القائمة على قمم الجبل، تجول فيلةٌ متبخترةٌ شبعى، دويُّها كدويّ سحب الرعد؛ وتتحرّك من كل جانب في هذا الفضاء الواسع المغمور بالمياه.
'The monkeys capable of assuming any form at their will should search the scraping peaks of the golden mountain (Himagiri) with colourful trees without delay.
Dharma as steadiness amid difficulty: a righteous task proceeds even through intimidating environments, requiring composure and persistence rather than fear-driven retreat.
Sugrīva continues describing the extraordinary ecology around Hemagiri—lion lairs and powerful elephants—so the searchers understand the terrain they must traverse.
Dhṛti (fortitude): the expedition must remain firm despite formidable natural forces and creatures.
