na hi dharmārthasiddhyarthaṃ pānam evaṃ praśasyate | pānād arthaś ca dharmaś ca kāmaś ca parihīyate ||

Translation

ليس الشرب على هذا النحو محمودًا وسيلةً لتحقيق الدَّرما والأرثا؛ فإن الشراب يُنقِص الثروةَ والاستقامةَ، بل ويُضعِف حتى الرغبةَ القويمة.
