Sugriva’s Coronation and Angada’s Installation
iti rāmābhyanujñātaḥ sugrīvo vānarādhipaḥ | praviveśa purīṁ ramyāṁ kiṣkindhāṁ vālipālitām ||
Thus permitted by Rama , Sugriva, lord of the monkeys entered the beautiful city of Kishkinda (once) ruled by Vali.
Legitimate authority and consent: Sugrīva acts after receiving Rāma’s permission, reflecting orderly conduct rather than impulsive seizure.
After Rāma’s instruction, Sugrīva returns to Kiṣkindhā to assume kingship and organize his people.
Sugrīva’s readiness to act within counsel and alliance-duty (mitra-dharma).
