Rama’s Lament and Search for Sita
नूनं विक्षिप्यमाणौ तौ बाहू पल्लवकोमलौ।भक्षितौ वेपमानाग्रौ सहस्ताभरणाङ्गदौ।।3.60.33।।
nūnaṃ vikṣipyamāṇau tau bāhū pallavakomalaū | bhakṣitau vepamānāgraū sahastābharaṇāṅgadau || 3.60.33 ||
لا ريب أنه تخيّل ذراعَيها—رقيقين كالغصون الغضّة، وأطراف الأصابع ترتجف، مزدانين بالأساور والحُليّ على العضد—قد التُهِما وهما يتخبطان في الصراع.
Her arms, delicate like tender leaves, their tips (fingers) quivering, adorned with armlets and bracelets have surely been eaten away.
The dharmic worldview treats violence against the innocent as a collapse of moral order; Rāma’s vivid lament highlights the duty to resist adharma and protect the righteous.
