Rama’s Lament and Search for Sita
त्वरमाणो जगामाथ सीतादर्शनलालसः।शून्यमावसथं दृष्ट्वा बभूवोद्विग्नमानसः।।3.60.3।।
tvaramāṇo jagāmātha sītādarśanalālasaḥ | śūnyam āvasathaṃ dṛṣṭvā babhūvodvignamānasaḥ || 3.60.3 ||
وإذ كان يتوق لرؤية سيتا، أسرع إلى الصومعة؛ ولكن عند رؤية المسكن فارغاً، أصبح عقله قلقاً للغاية.
Anxious to see Sita, he hastened to the hermitage and finding it empty, becamerestless.
Dharma here appears as steadfast responsibility in relationship—Rāma’s immediate, purposeful return to Sītā reflects protective duty and fidelity, even before he knows what has happened.
Rāma rushes back to the hermitage expecting to see Sītā, but finds the place empty, triggering alarm and fear.
Protective devotion and urgency—his love is expressed as immediate action and vigilant concern for Sītā’s safety.
