O brahmin, here is the seat for you. Feel free to sit. Here is water to wash your feet with. This is the best of food for you collected from the forest. Please partake this without hesitation.
Atithi-dharma: welcoming a guest with a seat, foot-water, and food offered sincerely—truth in action expressed through generous conduct.
Sītā formally invites the disguised Rāvaṇa to sit and eat, offering what the forest household can provide.
Hospitality, generosity, and adherence to righteous custom even under hardship.
