Panchapsara Lake Account and Directions to Agastya
प्रसन्नसलिले रम्ये तस्मिन्सरसि शुश्रुवे।गीतवादित्रनिर्घोषो न तु कश्चन दृश्यते।।।।
prasannasalile ramye tasmin sarasi śuśruve | gītavāditranirghoṣo na tu kaścana dṛśyate ||
عند تلك البحيرة البهيّة ذات الماء الصافي، سمعوا دويَّ الغناء وآلاتِ الطرب، ولكن لم يُرَ أحدٌ البتّة.
In that lake of clear waters they heard the sounds of songs and musical instruments, while there were none around.
Dharma is shown as restraint and discernment: hearing alluring sounds without seeing their source suggests the need for vigilance in the forest and careful judgment before acting.
In the wilderness, they come upon a beautiful lake where music is heard though no visible performers are present.
