पुराणं निर्मितं विप्र तस्मात्तत्परमो भवेत् । पुराणे निश्चितो धर्मो धर्मश्च केशवः स्वयम्

purāṇaṃ nirmitaṃ vipra tasmāttatparamo bhavet | purāṇe niścito dharmo dharmaśca keśavaḥ svayam

يا براهمن، لقد أُلِّف هذا البورانا؛ فليكن المرء مُتعلِّقًا به غاية التعلّق. ففي البورانا يثبت الدارما ثبوتًا راسخًا—والدارما ليس إلا كيشافا (فيشنو) نفسه.
