Concept: Virtues such as medhā (intelligence), śruta (learning), kriyā (right action), naya (sound policy), vinaya (humility), bodha/buddhi (understanding/discernment), and lajjā (modesty) are ‘born’ from one’s own character—ethical selfhood generates auspicious capacities.

Application: Treat daily habits as ‘parents’ of your future mind: study a little (śruta), act deliberately (kriyā), speak with restraint (danda as self-discipline), and practice humility (vinaya) to stabilize relationships and devotion.

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A serene cosmic classroom at the dawn of creation: personified virtues arise like luminous children from a calm, upright human figure symbolizing ‘svabhāva’ (character). FAQs

It teaches that virtues like intelligence, learning, disciplined action, discernment, and humility are the true “offspring” of one’s own cultivated character.

Although it appears in the Sṛṣṭi-khaṇḍa, its content is primarily ethical and didactic, listing inner virtues that sustain righteous living.

The ethical lesson is self-formation: a person’s real legacy is not external possessions but the virtues and disciplined conduct they develop within themselves.
