Unspecified (narrative injunction within Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa context)

Concept: Worship on Dvādaśī—especially after Ekādaśī discipline—culminates in honoring Kṛṣṇa/Viṣṇu together with Lakṣmī, affirming divine inseparability and completeness of devotion.

Application: Keep a monthly rhythm: observe restraint (especially around Ekādaśī), then on Dvādaśī perform focused pūjā—offer food, flowers, and gratitude to both Viṣṇu and Śrī, cultivating steadiness and relational devotion.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"On a serene Dvādaśī morning, a devotee performs pūjā before a black-stone Kṛṣṇa/Viṣṇu icon adorned with fresh garlands. Beside Him stands Lakṣmī, both receiving offerings in the same sanctified space, as lamps flicker and incense curls upward like a soft mantra made visible.","primary_figures":["Kṛṣṇa (as Viṣṇu)","Lakṣmī","a devotee/priest"],"setting":"Temple sanctum or home altar with śālagrāma/black-stone icon, brass lamps, conch, tulasi pot (optional background), offering plates for naivedya.","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["sapphire blue","gold","white jasmine","leaf green","crimson"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central Kṛṣṇa/Viṣṇu icon on a jeweled throne, Lakṣmī standing close ‘bhartṛ-sārdham’, heavy gold leaf halos, ornate arch (prabhāvali), rich silk garments, layered garlands, brass lamps and conch in foreground, devotional symmetry.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: quiet Dvādaśī pūjā in a palace-temple alcove, delicate brushwork, soft morning light, Kṛṣṇa and Lakṣmī rendered with refined features, floral textiles, small offering bowls, gentle incense haze, lyrical intimacy.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: Kṛṣṇa/Viṣṇu and Lakṣmī in frontal iconic pose, bold outlines, natural pigment palette, temple lamp motifs, stylized lotus pedestal, devotee at the side with folded hands, rhythmic ornamental borders.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: Kṛṣṇa-centered composition with Lakṣmī as auspicious companion, lotus and jasmine garlands forming an ornate frame, deep indigo background, gold highlights, small cows/peacocks as decorative elements, Dvādaśī offering scene at the bottom register."}

FAQs

It prescribes worship on Dvādaśī (the twelfth lunar day), emphasizing devotional ritual (pūjā/arcana) to Krishna and also to Lakshmi together with her Lord (Vishnu).

The verse presents Lakshmi’s worship as inseparable from her Lord, reflecting a common Vaishnava framing where prosperity and grace (Lakshmi) are honored in union with Vishnu/Narayana.

Worship Krishna on Dvādaśī in the twelfth month, and in the same location perform worship of Lakshmi along with her Lord.
