आसन्नश्च ततस्तेषां तदा तुष्टः पितामहः । कोटिं कृत्वा तदा तेषां मानं दृष्ट्वा मनीषिणां

“Pitāmaha” is a common Purāṇic epithet for Brahmā, the cosmic progenitor, described as approaching the sages with satisfaction.
Literally “having made (it) a koṭi,” it conveys reckoning or valuing their “māna” (honor/esteem) as extremely great—using “koṭi” as a hyperbolic measure.
The verse reinforces that true wisdom (manīṣā) merits recognition: even Brahmā is portrayed as honoring and acknowledging the stature of the wise.
