FAQs

It teaches the spiritual merit (puṇya) of donating nourishing dairy items—ghee, curd, buttermilk, and milk—promising a heavenly reward symbolized as drinking amṛta in Viṣṇu’s realm.

It frames the fruit of charity in a Vaiṣṇava soteriological context: meritorious giving supports devotion and leads the donor toward Viṣṇu’s divine abode rather than merely worldly benefit.

The implied ethic is compassionate support of life and well-being: giving sustaining foods to others is elevated as a dharmic act that purifies the giver and aligns them with divine grace.
