Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It stresses mental steadiness (avikṣepa) during Devī-darśana: the awe of the Goddess’ fierce form can shake the unprepared mind, so inner composure and reverence are essential for receiving the vision properly.
Bhakti here is not mere emotion but disciplined reverence—remaining steady before the Divine, especially when the deity appears in a terrifying or majestic aspect, shows mature devotion and trust rather than fear-driven agitation.
It aligns with śikṣā/ācāra (discipline and correct conduct) in ritual settings: maintaining proper posture, composure, and attentive mind during darśana and worship so the rite is not disrupted by distraction (vikṣepa).
