The Greatness of Gayā
Gayā-Māhātmya

Narada (to the Sanatkumara brothers, in a Tirtha-Mahatmya narration)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It elevates a specific lotus-grove as a merit-generating tirtha, emphasizing that association with sacred space and the company of the virtuous yields comprehensive spiritual benefit (sarva-nidarśanam).
Indirectly, it supports Bhakti by highlighting tirtha-sevā and sat-saṅga (being where the virtuous gather) as conducive environments for remembrance and reverence, which are core supports for devotion.
Kalpa-oriented practice is implied: the puranic framework of tīrtha-yātrā (pilgrimage observances), where visiting specific sacred sites according to prescribed conduct is treated as a dharmic means to accrue puṇya.
