Narada (teaching in the Uttara-Bhaga tirtha-mahatmya context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It defines kṣetra-maryādā (the sacred jurisdiction) and teaches disciplined conduct at tīrthas: one should honor the sanctity of the riverbank by not treating it as an ordinary residential zone, while recognizing a wider sacred perimeter for regulated living and worship.
By prescribing proper tīrtha etiquette, it supports bhakti through śuddha-ācāra (pure conduct): devotion is strengthened when pilgrimage and worship are performed with restraint, respect for sacred spaces, and observance of prescribed boundaries.
It reflects kalpa-style procedural dharma (ritual and conduct rules) and traditional sacred geography/measurement usage (yojana) for defining a kṣetra’s extent, guiding where one may stay while performing tīrtha-related rites.
