इसी समय राजकुमार उत्तर बड़े हर्षके साथ स्वच्छन्दतापूर्वक नगरमें आये। मार्ममें उनके ऊपर उत्तम गन्ध और भाँति-भाँतिके पुष्पहार बरसाये जा रहे थे ।।

Transliteration

vaishampāyana uvāca | sabhājyamānaḥ pauraiś ca strībhiḥ jānapadais tathā | āsādya bhavanadvāraṃ pitre sampratyavedayat ||

Translation

قال فايشَمبايانا: وقد أُكرم أُتَّرا ورُحِّب به من أهل المدينة والنساء وأهل الريف كذلك، حتى بلغ باب القصر الملكي وأمر أن يُعلَن وصوله لأبيه. وكانت العطور النفيسة وأكاليل الزهور المتنوعة تُنثر عليه كالمطر؛ في مشهدٍ يُبرز اعتراف الناس بواجب الأمير، ووقارَ الأدب في رفع الخبر إلى الملك ولو وسط الهتاف والاحتفاء.
