Reassuring the Kuru Soldiers; Proclaiming Victory
मेदोवसासूृक्प्रवहां महा भयविवर्धिनीम् । रौद्ररूपां महाभीमां श्वापदैरभिनादिताम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | medovasāsṛkpravahāṁ mahābhayavivardhinīm | raudrarūpāṁ mahābhīmāṁ śvāpadair abhināditām ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: هناك جرى نهر يحمل الشحم والنخاع والدم—نهرٌ يزيد الفزع زيادةً عظيمة. كان منظره رهيباً بالغ الهول، وعلى ضفافه دوّت صرخات السباع المفترسة. وتُبرز هذه الصورة فظاعة العنف أخلاقياً: حين تسود الحرب والذبح، يُتخيَّل أن المشهد الطبيعي نفسه يتحول إلى شهادة شنيعة على الأدهارما والمعاناة.
