इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत विराटपर्वके अन्तर्गत गोहरणपर्वमें उत्तरगोग्रहके समय कर्णके आत्मप्रशंसापूर्ण वचनसम्बन्धी अड़तालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate virāṭaparvake antargata-goharaṇaparvaṇi uttaragograha-samaye karṇasya ātmapraśaṁsā-pūrṇa-vacana-sambandhī aṣṭacatvāriṁśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ

Translation

وهكذا انتهى الفصل الثامن والأربعون من قسم «غوهَرَنا» ضمن «ڤيراطا پرفا» من «شري مهابهاراتا»، في شأن خطاب كَرْنَة المفعم بتعظيم الذات، الذي قيل زمن الاستيلاء على ماشية الشمال. ويؤطّر الخاتمةُ هذا المشهد بوصفه لحظةً من بلاغةٍ حربيةٍ متباهية، تُبرز كيف يصوغ الكبرياءُ والمنافسةُ السلوكَ عشيةَ الصدام.
