Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
तलाभ्यां स तु भीमेन वक्षस्यभिहतो बली । कीचको रोषसंतप्त: पदान्न चलित: पदम्,इतनेमें ही भीमने दोनों हथेलियोंसे कीचककी छातीपर प्रहार किया। चोट खाकर बलवान् कीचक क्रोधसे जल उठा, किंतु अपने स्थानसे एक पग भी विचलित नहीं हुआ
talābhyāṃ sa tu bhīmena vakṣasy abhihato balī | kīcako roṣa-saṃtaptaḥ padān na calitaḥ padam ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: حينئذٍ ضُرِبَ كِيتشَكَ القويُّ على صدره براحتي بهيما المفتوحتين معًا. ومع أن الضربة وقعت، اشتعل كِيتشَكَ غضبًا؛ لكنه لم يزحزح قدمًا واحدة عن موضعه—مُظهِرًا كبرياءه بقوته الجسدية وغرورًا متصاعدًا سيستدعي قريبًا الجزاء.
