The colophon highlights tīrthayātrā and yajña as dharmic disciplines: sacred places and properly performed rites are portrayed as supports for moral order, inner purification, and continuity of tradition.
This is a chapter-ending colophon stating that the chapter describing the sacrifice at Gayā—told within Lomasha’s pilgrimage account in the Tīrthayātrā section of the Vana Parva—has concluded.
