satāṁ vidarbharājasya putrārthaṁ tapyatas tapaḥ | nirmitām ātmano 'rthāya muniḥ prādān mahātapāḥ ||
وفي ذلك الحين كان ملكُ فيداربها الصالحُ يمارس التقشّف رجاءَ أن يُرزق ابنًا. فوهبَه الناسكُ العظيمُ تلك المرأة التي كان قد صاغها لغايةٍ تخصّه.
