Agastya–Lopāmudrā: Marriage, Austerity, and Conditions for Conjugal Union (लोमशकथितम्)
दिव्यं पवित्रकूटं च पवित्रं धरणीधरम्,वहाँ महर्षियोंसे सेवित, पावन शिखरोंवाला, दिव्य एवं पवित्र दूसरा पर्वत भी है जो अत्यन्त पुण्यदायक तीर्थ है। वहीं उत्तम ब्रह्मसरोवर है जहाँ भगवान् अगस्त्यमुनि वैवस्वत यमसे मिलनेके लिये पधारे थे
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca | divyaṃ pavitrakūṭaṃ ca pavitraṃ dharaṇīdharam | tatra maharṣibhiḥ sevitaṃ pāvanaśikharavantaṃ divyaṃ ca pavitraṃ dvitīyaṃ parvataṃ puṇyadāyakaṃ tīrtham | tatraiva uttamaṃ brahmasarovaraṃ yatra bhagavān agastyamuniḥ vaivasvataṃ yamam abhigantuṃ samupāgamat |
قال فايشَمبايانا: وهناك أيضًا جبلٌ ثانٍ—إلهيٌّ طاهر، حقًّا «حاملُ الأرض»—يُدعى بافيتراكوطا (Pavitrakūṭa). يؤمّه الحكماء العظام؛ وقِمَمُه مُطهِّرة، والمكانُ نفسُه تيرثا (tīrtha) عظيمَ الثواب. وهناك كذلك بحيرةُ براهما الفاضلة، حيث قدم الحكيم الجليل أغاستيا (Agastya) قديمًا ليلتقي فايڤسڤتا ياما (Vaivasvata Yama).
वैशग्पायन उवाच
Holiness is linked to dharmic presence and purpose: a place becomes a true tīrtha when it is frequented by sages and approached with righteous intent, thereby granting purification and merit (puṇya).
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes a sacred mountain called Pavitrakūṭa and an excellent lake named Brahmasarovara, noting that Agastya once came there to meet Vaivasvata Yama, situating the listener within a map of revered pilgrimage-sites.
