Sudeva Identifies Damayantī in Cedi (सुदेवेन दमयन्ती-परिचयः)
रत्नराशिविंशीर्णो<यं गृह्नी ध्वं कि प्रधावत । उस समय वहाँ तीनों लोकोंको भयमें डालनेवाला महान् आर्तनाद एवं चीत्कार हो रहा था। कोई कहता--'अरे! इधर बड़े जोरकी आग प्रज्वलित हो उठी है। यह भारी संकट आ गया (अब) दौड़ो और बचाओ।' दूसरा कहता--“अरे! ये ढेर-के-ढेर रत्न बिखरे पड़े हैं, इन्हें सँभालकर रखो। इधर-उधर भागते क्यों हो?”
bṛhadaśva uvāca | ratnarāśi-viṃśīrṇo 'yaṃ gṛhṇīdhvaṃ kiṃ pradhāvata |
قال بريهادشڤا: «ها هنا كومةٌ من الجواهر قد تناثرت—اجمعوها! لِمَ تركضون هنا وهناك؟» وفي تلك اللحظة ارتفع عويلٌ واضطرابٌ عظيمان، يبعثان الرعب في العوالم الثلاثة. صاح أحدهم: «وا أسفاه! لقد اشتعلت هنا نارٌ ضارية—إنها كارثة جسيمة! اركضوا وأنقذوا (ما استطعتم)!» وصاح آخر: «انظروا—أكوامٌ من الجواهر مبعثرة؛ أمّنوها واحفظوها! لِمَ تفرّون يمنةً ويسرة؟»
