Shloka 110

पठका: पाठकाश्ैव ये चान्ये शास्त्रचिन्तका: । सर्वे व्यसनिनो मूर्खा यः क्रियावान्‌ स पण्डित:

paṭhakāḥ pāṭhakāś caiva ye cānye śāstra-cintakāḥ | sarve vyasanino mūrkhā yaḥ kriyāvān sa paṇḍitaḥ ||

قال يودهيشثيرا: «الذين يقرؤون فحسب، والذين يعلّمون، وحتى الذين لا يتجاوزون التفكّر في الشاسترا—إن وقفوا عند الألفاظ وحدها—فهم جميعًا مدمنون على الجدل والاستعراض، وهم حمقى. أمّا العالِم حقًّا فهو من يلازم العمل الصالح: من يقوم بالواجبات التي تأمر بها الشاسترا.»
