भीम उवाच प्रातिकाम्यनयत्‌ कृष्णां सभायां प्रेष्यवत्‌ तदा । न मया निहततस्तत्र तेन प्राप्ता: सम संशयम्‌,भीमसेनने कहा--जब प्रातिकामीकी जगह दूत बनकर गया हुआ दु:शासन द्रौपदीको कौरवोंकी सभामें दासीकी भाँति बलपूर्वक खींच ले आया, उस समय मैंने जो उसका वध नहीं कर डाला; इसीके कारण हमलोग ऐसे धर्मसंकटमें पड़े हैं

bhīma uvāca | prātikāmyānayat kṛṣṇāṃ sabhāyāṃ preṣyavat tadā | na mayā nihatatas tatra tena prāptāḥ sma saṃśayam ||

قال بهيما: «حينذاك، ذهب دُهشاسَنَةُ بدلًا من براتيكامين كأنه رسولٌ خادم، وجَرَّ كِرِشنا (دراوبدي) إلى مجلس الكورافا جَرَّ الأَمَةِ بالقوة. ولم أقتله في الحال هناك؛ وبسبب ذلك التقصير وقعنا اليوم في هذا المأزق الأخلاقي الجسيم، بين الشكّ والحيرة.»
