इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि आरणेयपर्वणि मृगान्वेषणे एकादशाधिकत्रिशततमो<ध्याय:

iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi āraṇeyaparvaṇi mṛgānveṣaṇe ekādaśādhikatriśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

وهكذا، في «شري مهابهارتا»، ضمن «فانا بارفا»—وخاصةً في قسم «آرانْيَيا»—ينتهي الفصل المعنون «البحث عن الأيل»، وهو الفصل الثلاثمئة والحادي عشر. وهذه خاتمةٌ تُثبّت انقضاء وحدةٍ سردية، وتضع الحادثة في سياق المنفى في الغابة حيث يُمتحَن السلوكُ وفق الدارما وسط الشدائد والمطاردة.
