कुन्तीगर्भगोपनम् तथा मञ्जूषाप्रवाहः
Kuntī’s concealed childbirth and the river-borne casket
जह्नषुर्देवगन्धर्वा दृष्टवा शक्रपुरोगमा: । अल्पावशेषमायुश्च ततो$मन्यन्त रक्षस:
jahnuṣur devagandharvā dṛṣṭvā śakrapurogamaḥ | alpāvaśeṣam āyuś ca tato 'manyanta rākṣasāḥ ||
قال ماركاندييا: «فلما بدا الآلهةُ والغندرفا، يتقدّمهم إندرا، وهنَت قلوبُ الرَّكشَسَة وذبلت قواهم؛ وإذ أدركوا أن بقية أعمارهم يسيرة، أيقنوا أن نهايتهم قد دنت.»
