तमापततन्तं संक्रुद्धं पुनरेव युयुत्सया । अभिदुद्राव सौमित्रिर्विभीषणमते स्थित:,उसे क्रोधमें भरकर पुनः युद्धकी इच्छासे आते देख विभीषणकी सम्मतिसे लक्ष्मणने उसपर धावा किया
tam āpatatantaṃ saṃkruddhaṃ punar eva yuyutsayā | abhidudrāva saumitrir vibhīṣaṇamate sthitaḥ ||
قال ماركانديّا: فلمّا رآه يندفع ثانيةً، متأجّج الغضب ومشتاقًا إلى القتال من جديد، اندفع ساوميتري (لاكشمانا)—عاملًا بمشورة فيبيṣaṇa—مباشرةً لملاقاته.
