तथेति रामस्तद् वारि प्रतिगृह्माभिसंस्कृतम् । चकार नेत्रयो: शौचं लक्ष्मणश्ष महामना:,“बहुत अच्छा” कहकर श्रीरामचन्द्रजीने वह अभिमन्त्रित जल ले लिया। फिर उन्होंने तथा महामना लक्ष्मणने भी उससे अपने दोनों नेत्र धोये
tatheti rāmas tad vāri pratigṛhya abhi-saṁskṛtam | cakāra netrayoḥ śaucaṁ lakṣmaṇaś ca mahāmanāḥ ||
قال ماركاندييا: فقال راما: «ليكن كذلك»، وتقبّل الماء الذي قُدِّس بالمانترا. ثم طهّر به عينيه؛ وكذلك لاكشمانا العظيم الهمة غسل عينيه كلتيهما بالماء نفسه.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse underscores śauca (purity) and reverent acceptance of consecrated offerings: sacred means are used for self-purification, reflecting disciplined conduct aligned with dharma.
Rama agrees, receives mantra-consecrated water, and washes his eyes with it; Lakshmana likewise cleanses his eyes, indicating preparation and purification before the next stage of the story.
