Draupadī’s Application
क्षन्तव्यमेव सततं पुरुषेण विजानता । यदा हि क्षमते सर्व ब्रह्म सम्पद्यते तदा,विद्वान पुरुषको सदा क्षमाका ही आश्रय लेना चाहिये। जब मनुष्य सब कुछ सहन कर लेता है, तब वह ब्रह्मभावको प्राप्त हो जाता है
kṣantavyam eva satataṃ puruṣeṇa vijānatā | yadā hi kṣamate sarvaṃ brahma sampadyate tadā |
قال يودهيشثيرا: «على الرجل البصير أن يلازم العفو على الدوام. فإذا احتمل المرءُ كلَّ شيءٍ حقًّا وغفره، عندئذٍ يبلغ حالَ برهمان».
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse teaches that constant forgiveness (kṣamā) is a hallmark of the wise and is not merely social virtue but a spiritual discipline: complete forbearance purifies the person and culminates in realizing Brahman.
Yudhiṣṭhira is articulating a dharma-teaching within the Vana Parva context, emphasizing patient endurance and forgiveness as the proper conduct for a discerning person, framing it as a path to the highest spiritual state.
