Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
सा ददर्श गिरिप्रस्थे पडच वानरपुज्भवान् । तत्र वासो महहद्दिव्यमुत्ससर्ज मनस्विनी
sā dadarśa giriprasthē patac ca vānarapuṅgavān | tatra vāso mahad divyam utsasarja manasvinī ||
قال ماركاندييا: رأتْ على حافةٍ من الجبل أَفْضَلَ القِرَدَةِ وهو يهوي. وهناك ألقتِ السيدةُ الساميةُ الهمةِ ثوبَها الإلهيَّ البهيَّ.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
In a moment of danger, the verse highlights decisive action guided by inner resolve (manasvinī). The casting off of a divine garment suggests prioritizing the immediate demands of the situation over attachment to status or adornment.
The woman sees the chief of monkeys falling on a mountain ledge. In response, she releases or discards her splendid divine clothing at that very spot, indicating a swift, purposeful reaction as the episode intensifies.
