Educational Q&A

The verse conveys the idea that a higher, divinely ordered state is characterized by purity and freedom from bodily impurities and discomforts; it implicitly links ethical/spiritual elevation with refinement beyond ordinary physical limitations.

A divine messenger is describing to a sage the qualities of beings in a particular exalted realm, emphasizing their bodily purity and the absence of sweat, odor, excretion, and soiling of clothes.
