मुद्गलोपाख्यानम् — व्रीहिद्रोणदानं, दुर्वाससः परीक्षा, स्वर्गगुणप्रश्नः

तथा भीमो महेष्वास: संयुगे बलिनां वर: । गन्धर्वा्छितशो राजज्जघान निशितै: शरै:,राजन! इसी प्रकार बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाधनुर्धर भीमसेनने अपने तीक्ष्ण सायकोंद्वारा सैकड़ों गन्धर्वोको मार गिराया
tathā bhīmo maheṣvāsaḥ saṁyuge balināṁ varaḥ | gandharvān śataśo rājan jaghāna niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ||
قال فايشَمبايانا: «وكذلك بهيما—عظيم الساعد، ماهرٌ في الرمي بالقوس، المتقدّم بين الأقوياء في ساحة القتال—أيها الملك، صرع الغندهرفات بالمئات بسهامه الحادّة ذات الرؤوس القاطعة».
