Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that steadiness in daily discipline (especially attentiveness and early rising) and respectful, devoted service to elders/teachers cultivates harmony in the household; influence arises from dharmic conduct rather than force.

In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, counsel is being conveyed to Satyabhāmā about the conduct that sustains a well-ordered household—highlighting practical virtues (carefulness, punctuality, service to elders) as the basis for a husband’s favorable disposition.
