अदितिं रेवतीं प्राहु्ग्रहस्तस्यास्तु रैवत: । सो<5पि बालान् महाघोरो बाधते वै महाग्रह:,लोग अदिति देवीको रेवती कहते हैं। रेवतीके ग्रहका नाम रैवत है। वह महाभयंकर महान् ग्रह भी बालकोंको बड़ा कष्ट देता है
aditiṁ revatīṁ prāhur grahas tasyāstu raivataḥ | so 'pi bālān mahāghoro bādhate vai mahāgrahaḥ ||
قال ماركاندييا: «إن أديتي تُدعى أيضًا رِيفَتي (Revatī)، والغْرَهَة (graha) المرتبطة بها تُسمّى رايفَتا (Raivata). وتلك الغْرَهَة الجبّارة شديدةُ الهول تُنزل بالأطفال عذابًا شديدًا كذلك».
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse frames certain sufferings—especially those affecting children—as arising from powerful, personified cosmic afflictions (grahas). Ethically, it encourages vigilance, compassion, and protective action toward the vulnerable, while acknowledging forces beyond ordinary human control.
Mārkaṇḍeya is explaining a classification of grahas: he identifies Aditi with the name Revatī and states that her associated graha is called Raivata, describing it as a fearsome power that particularly torments children.
