Kaurava Court Hears of the Pāṇḍavas’ Forest Hardship (वैचित्रवीर्यवंशीयस्य राज्ञः करुणाविचारः)
एतच्छुत्वा नमस्तस्मै कृत्वासौ सह कन्यया | तत्राभ्यगच्छद् देवेन्द्रो यत्र देवर्षयो5भवन्
etac chrutvā namas tasmai kṛtvāsau saha kanyayā | tatrābhyagacchad devendro yatra devarṣayo 'bhavan ||
فلما سمع ذلك قدّم له سجودَ التعظيم والتحيةَ بخشوع؛ ثم مضى مع الفتاة—إندرا سيدُ الآلهة—إلى الموضع الذي اجتمع فيه الرُّشَداء الإلهيون. وتؤكد الآية خُلُق التواضع وواجب الاحترام (نَمَس) حتى على ذوي السلطان، وتعرض السلوك القويم بوصفه الجواب اللائق على المشورة المقدسة.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic etiquette: after receiving significant words, one should respond with humility and reverence (namas), and then act appropriately—here, proceeding to the proper assembly of sages.
Mārkaṇḍeya narrates that Indra, having heard what was said, offers salutations and, accompanied by a maiden, goes to the place where the divine seers are gathered.
