हृष्टपुष्टजनाकीर्णा नित्योत्सवसमाकुलाम् | सो<पश्यद् बहुवृत्तान्तां ब्राह्मण: समतिक्रमन्
hṛṣṭapuṣṭajanākīrṇā nityotsavasamākulām | so 'paśyad bahuvṛttāntāṃ brāhmaṇaḥ samatikraman
قال ماركاندييا: وبينما كان ذلك البراهمن يمضي في طريقه، أبصر مدينةً غاصّةً بأناسٍ مبتهجين أقوياء ممتلئين عافيةً ورخاءً، لا تنقطع فيها الأعياد والاحتفالات، وتمتلئ بالمشاهد والحوادث المتنوعة—ازدهارٌ ظاهرٌ يدعو إلى التأمل في الأسباب الخفية للنعمة، وفي واجبات الدارما التي تُقيمها وتُثبّتها.
